Coffee Packaging

Bags, boxes and mailers engineered for fresh coffee.

Coffee needs a degassing valve, an airtight seal, and a brand that looks good in a cafe and on a doorstep. We produce valve-equipped kraft bags, retail cartons and subscription mailers for roasters of all sizes. Coffee roasters must navigate three simultaneous design goals: keeping roasted coffee fresh until the customer opens the bag, printing a brand identity crisply on a kraft substrate, and holding the total cost of bag-plus-valve-plus-printing to a retail-friendly unit price. Typical order runs are 1,000 bags for new micro-roasters, 5,000–10,000 bags for regional specialty roasters, and 50,000+ for brands with national grocery distribution. MOQ for valve-equipped bags is 500 units; foil-lined bags are 1,000 units minimum due to lamination tooling. Lead time is 15–25 working days from sample approval, and two-week buffer stock is advised for harvest-season launches. Common pain points include valves that fail under mailer compression and lose the seal, kraft bags whose ink smudges in high-humidity cafe environments, and subscription mailers that cannot hold four 250g bags without bulging. We solve these by using WIPF-style mechanical valves (not cheap sticker valves) on every bag, applying scratch-resistant aqueous coatings to kraft surfaces, and engineering corrugated mailers to the exact footprint of four 250g or two 1kg bags. From 250g retail bags to 1kg bulk bags to branded subscription mailers, every order includes a physical sample of the bag, valve and mailer before bulk production begins.

Frequently asked

Questions about coffee packaging.

Yes — WIPF or PLA options.

We fit every coffee bag with a one-way degassing valve. Choose WIPF for traditional foil-lined bags, or PLA for compostable construction.

6–9 months unopened with a foil liner.

Foil-lined kraft bags with a one-way degassing valve preserve roasted coffee for 6–9 months unopened. Non-lined kraft bags are intended for local sales with a 4–6 week shelf life. All shelf-life estimates assume the bag is stored away from direct light and temperature swings above 25°C.

Yes — custom corrugated subscription mailers.

We engineer corrugated mailers to hold exactly four 250g bags (or any other combination). Mailers are die-cut to the minimum footprint to avoid dimensional-weight surcharges, ship flat for easy assembly, and are printed on the outside with your return address and social handles.
